Meet the New Timeline: Look Ahead, and Now Look Back 🌊

Emoji Countdown has a fresh new look 🎨 Your countdowns now sit along a timeline, so you can see at a glance what’s this week, what’s next month and what’s still a way off. Here’s a quick tour of what’s new.

Next Up 🎁

Your soonest countdown sits at the top in its own pink card, with the days to go, the date and a big emoji. Tap it to make changes.

A timeline of everything else

Below it, each countdown sits on a line with its emoji, grouped under headings like This Week, Next Month and This Year. Countdowns that repeat show a little Yearly badge, and anything with a set time shows the time too ⏰

On iPad, your countdowns flow down the screen in columns like a river, joined by the same timeline links. Resize the window and they slide smoothly between the two layouts.

Scroll back in time ⏪

Your timeline now runs both ways. Scroll up from today to see the events you’ve already celebrated, with the most recent first. Countdowns that repeat show their last occurrence, so you can see how long ago that last birthday was 🎂

When you’ve wandered off, tap Today to jump back. Past events are part of Emoji Countdown Pro.

Days, weeks or months 📆

“73 days” is precise, but “2 months” is often easier to picture. Open any countdown and tap Show as to pick:

  • Days
  • Weeks
  • Months
  • Auto, which shows days for the next couple of weeks, weeks for the next couple of months, and months for anything further away

Your choice shows on the timeline and in your widgets too. This is part of Emoji Countdown Pro.

Where did the StandBy screen go?

The app used to have its own screen for when your iPhone was charging on its side. We’ve retired it, but your widgets still work in iOS StandBy, so you can keep a countdown on your bedside table 🛏️

We hope you love the new look as much as we do 🤗
